Hurricane Ian's path

Hurricane Ian is going up through
the Carolinas to the Virginias

Hurricane Ian is making his way up through the Carolinas to the Virginias. Ian made it in to South Carolina, today, as a Cat 1 and will end in West Virginia as a tropical storm. A person would think that Ian’s unpleasant stay in Florida would be enough to encourage folks to put the rubber on the road, but nope.

In Charleston, South Carolina, a young buck named Sam Weinick went out to the pier to do some storm watching. While he was storm watching, two journalist with the Herald-Journal, Joanna Johnson and Clare Amari, approached the 23-year-old fella and ask him if he’s worried about Hades stopping by. “This is not that bad. An ordinary rainstorm looks worse than this right now,” the young fella said to Johnson and Amari. Calm before the storm.

Down in Florida, there was a lot of calm before the storm, Ian, came. After he got there, he did a lot of damage like putting out the lights on the lives of at least 17 Floridians; while putting the lights out on more than 2 million Floridians’ homes and businesses.

It’s for that reason President Joe Biden called up South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster and told him that he is issuing an Emergency Declaration for the state of South Carolina. And with the way things are going in North Carolina and Virginia, chances are great that POTUS will have to do the same for those states.

North Carolina is getting loads of rain and a tornado watch has been issued for folks living on the eastern part of the state, while those living in the middle of the state have been warn about a tropical storm coming their way.

Like North Carolina, Virginia is getting some of that spit and wind from Ian. Ian is spitting out heavy rain and blowing wind with gust up to 50mph in some areas. Ian isn’t expected to make landfall in the Virginias until tomorrow.

The good news for the Virginias is that Ian is coming into the landlocked parts of the states which means he won’t have as much water or heat to give him the 48 hours energy boost he needs to keep destroying, destroying, and destroying.

The bad news is he’s coming. And when he gets there, oh boy, Ian is going to sit and spit out all the left over water and pass all the left over wind he has to pass onto the Virginias.
